Anti-Plagiarism and Academic Integrity
The University of Lakki Marwat is committed to originality, honesty and responsible conduct in teaching, learning and research. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification and other forms of academic misconduct are inconsistent with the University’s academic values and are addressed in accordance with applicable Higher Education Commission policy and University procedures.
Key Principles
- All scholarly work must appropriately acknowledge the ideas, words, data and contributions of others.
- Students and researchers are responsible for maintaining originality and accurate citation in their work.
- Supervisors and departments are responsible for academic review and for guiding scholars in ethical writing and research practice.
- Similarity is an indicator for review; a similarity report alone does not determine plagiarism. Academic judgment and examination of matched sources are required.
- Confidentiality, fairness, due process and proper record keeping must be maintained.
QEC Facilitation
The Directorate of Quality Enhancement facilitates authorized similarity checking, issuance of relevant reports or clearance documents, awareness sessions and coordination with departments. Manuscripts, theses and other academic work should be submitted through the prescribed institutional procedure, and identified concerns must be addressed before final clearance.
