Accreditation Process

Accreditation provides external assurance that an academic programme meets the standards prescribed by the relevant professional or accreditation council. The University of Lakki Marwat supports timely accreditation and re-accreditation of eligible programmes to strengthen academic quality, public confidence and graduate recognition.

Programme Review and Preparation

  1. Identification of Requirements: The concerned academic unit reviews the applicable council’s standards, eligibility requirements, timelines and documentation.
  2. Institutional Approval and NOC: Required approvals and permissions are confirmed before submission.
  3. Self-Review and Evidence: The department evaluates curriculum, faculty, assessment, laboratories, learning resources, student records, governance and quality assurance arrangements.
  4. Application Submission: The prescribed application and supporting evidence are submitted through the competent institutional channel.
  5. Accreditation Visit: The department and relevant offices facilitate document review, stakeholder meetings and inspection of facilities by the council’s team.
  6. Compliance and Follow-up: Observations are addressed through a documented improvement plan, and progress is monitored until accreditation requirements are fulfilled.

The Directorate of Quality Enhancement facilitates coordination, evidence review and follow-up in collaboration with the concerned department, Registrar, Academics and other relevant offices. Primary responsibility for programme-specific compliance remains with the academic unit concerned.
