Institutional Quality Circle (IQC)

In accordance with the Pakistan Precepts, Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PSG-2023) of the Higher Education Commission, the University of Lakki Marwat has constituted an Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) to provide institutional oversight of quality assurance and enhancement.

Terms of Reference

  • Monitor national guidance and external requirements relating to quality assurance and coordinate appropriate institutional action.
  • Review the University’s academic quality framework, policies and mechanisms for maintaining standards and enhancing the student learning experience.
  • Oversee institutional and programme self-evaluation, including review findings, improvement plans and follow-up actions.
  • Promote the completeness, accuracy, reliability and fitness for purpose of information provided to applicants, students and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain oversight of academic and student-related quality policies.
  • Consider quality implications of proposals concerning the introduction, revision, suspension or withdrawal of academic programmes.
  • Review institutional performance information and promote evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.

In addition to considering institutional self-evaluation, the IQC meets on a quarterly basis and serves as the University’s principal institutional forum for quality enhancement and oversight.
